Making Clever Response Videos

All too often we watch things on TV and talk back either to a news broadcast or a show. It is likely that if you are watching shows with other people they will begin talking before there is a commercial break often times interrupting the very broadcast you were trying to watch. Of course they are there with you so what they have to say is way more important.
The monkeys at You Tube (I mean the monkeys they refer to in the error messages, you know, the highly trained ones.) have a nifty solution. Response videos are the modern answer to all that.
When making a response video on You Tube you need several things that can enhance the experience for you and your viewers. First and foremost you need a web cam. Not a problem as most new computers come with one built right in. Second you need a sense of what the viewer will see. It's good to position the camera directly in line with the video feed you are looking at so your viewers get the notion that you are looking at them and not a little piece of glass about the size of a dime. Just imagine that is a person there. Avoid painting a face on the lens as this will inhibit the view of your face. Definitely use props. Silly hats, sunglasses, swords, wigs, and cigars can really enhance your project.

Here let me show you a few so you get a good feel for how to do this.
Basically you just turn on the camera and say what's on your mind. It's fun and can enhance your channel with content that just wouldn't be there if you didn't have anything to say about what you just saw. It also stimulates you to watch more videos because now you can talk back instead of just shouting at the screen where no one will hear or see you. This will also keep you from interrupting the show for others in the room watching with you.

Please try not to be embarrassed if you don't get it right the first couple of tries. You can re-do it before you publish it and delete it if you get bored with it or just leave it up there for fun. The monkeys wouldn't want it any other way. Remember the key to popularity at You Tube is consistent content addition and loads of it.
